If you are in the mood for just a cup of cappuccino and biscotti, the best seat in the house may be at the table in the very acute angle of the establishments northernmost corner. From there, you can survey the always interesting goings on in North Beach, enjoy the original artwork by local artists on the cafes walls, and during the day, even catch a few rays.

We frequented the restaurant for many years, but have come to be disappointed with it recently. We've been told that it was bought by new owners, which would explain it. Bread quality has gone down (and not warmed up anymore), no more yummy butter, the olive oil is tasteless, the sauces and pasta are not as tasty. It seems as new managment had done things to save costs, and it shows. It was definitely not as busy as it used to be, and seemed to be mostly out-of-towners. At the end of the meal, we felt rushed, and when we asked for coffee, they seemed to do so reluctantly. (Like we were overstaying our visit...) One of our friends didn't even get his coffee. It's too bad, but I don't think I'll be back.
